Academics: Some people are just blessed with Sirius's skill! He is talkative, rambunctious, and disruptive in class... and yet he gets excellent grades. Unfair much?

Sirius's family is wildly elitist; the majority of them have attended Meillure Academy, and refuse to mingle with those who haven't, even looking down upon newcomers. Because of their haughty attitude, Sirius came to dislike his family, unhappy for the majority of his adolescence despite the fact he was wealthy, handsome, and likable.

When Sirius was invited to join Meillure Academy, his family was overjoyed; perhaps he would finally turn out like them. However, that was not the case; Sirius's power, though tied to the Dark Arts, would not take a wrong turn like his predecessor's. Upset at seeing he was accepting of people who didn't constitute as 'pure' as them, even angrier at his dislike of the Dark Arts, Sirius was booted from the family during the summer between his second and third year at Meillure.

His mother burned his name off the family tree, screaming and ranting about how Sirius wasn't a part of the family. Though a normal thirteen-year old boy would express concern, Sirius took it all in stride as his personality dictated and left out the door, taking a year off of school and thus being a year behind those of his age. He is supported financially by a sympathetic uncle, also no longer part of the Black family.

He's just recently got his hands on his journal, due to his overwhelmingly popular social life. He tries to include his friend, Remus, in this social life, but it's hard when the other boy is so withdrawn.

relationships.

James Potter, the best mate. It is only be some strange force of nature that James Potter and Sirius Black mutually fell into platonic love with each other (the platonic is said with the gentlest of sarcasm). The Potters have become something of a second family for Sirius, and James the brother he has never had. Though Sirius extols the fact he is a much better man than James, Sirius admires his best mate a great deal, much more than he would admit.
Remus Lupin, the furry little friend. After generally being an asshat to Remus, Sirius decided randomly he'd rather be best friends with him and made it so. Now an esteemed Marauder (Remus, that is), Sirius lovingly dogs his friend and uses him as his personal cheerleader. Sirius is insanely fond of Remus, but he'd rather die than admit it: however, it should be fairly obvious since Sirius is willing to risk life-and-limb to keep Remus safe once a month (you mean he doesn't just do it for the adrenaline?!).
Ginevra Weasley, the object of his affections. Ginevra Weasley, to Sirius, is the perfect girl. Spunky, pretty, humble (bordering on self-conscious, that), and kind, it was only natural that Sirius's childhood friendship with Ginny would soon become the Ginny the hunk of burnin' love. Ah, but it's all so very awkward now that she's figured out. Sirius isn't supposed to have a heart, after all.
Nymphadora Tonks, the second-cousin. Nymphy is, in actuality, Sirius's favorite relative though he'd rather die than let her know. She's become something of his confidante, and he tells her things, amidst all the teasing, that he wouldn't tell anyone else. Besides that, as a girl, he can ask her for advice, albeit very grudgingly.
Fred Weasley, the employer. Seeing Fred as his future brother-in-law, Sirius is very friendly to him, which in turn made them friends. Sirius probably isn't the best employee due to the fact he has a tendency to flirt more than ring up the cash register, but it brings in the business. First-year girls seem to be coming to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes a lot more often now that he's started working there...
Mizuki Ashiya, the very girly male-friend-who-is-actually-a-girl. Sirius intends to make a man out of Mizuki and also is somewhat interested in the young boy-girl-whatever. He's never quite met someone so idealistic, and it's interesting to him.
Chii Mihara, the very sexy coworker. Due to Sirius's terrible idea of sexual education, Chii went and slept with Lelouch. Sirius only expresses regret that she didn't choose him.
Riku Lanata, the rival-in-love/comrade-in-misery. As a fellow in the race for Ginny's heart, Sirius bonded with Riku over the unhappiness of unrequited love, and also as a fellow prankster. Aside from that, the boys don't really know each other well.
Bellatrix Lestrange, the bitch who needs to die. Hates her for everything she is: a conniving, shallow, elitist bitch who has absolutely no friends in Meillure. Boohoo, go die in a fire, hag.
